The upcoming edition of Solids Parma, scheduled for 11–12 February 2026 at Fiere di Parma, has already exceeded the number of exhibitors recorded in 2024. The world of technologies for powders, granules, and bulk solids will gather again at the Parma exhibition centre, reaffirmed as a strategic hub for the process industry. The previous edition registered 143 exhibitors (+17% compared to 2023), and this early surge confirms growing interest from companies in the sector and a dynamic, rapidly evolving market.

“Solids Parma – the organisers explain in a recent press release – continues its growth trajectory, accelerating in innovation, processes, and new markets. Not only is the number of participating companies increasing, but also the variety of the offering, which confirms the cross-sector nature of the event: in addition to the traditional areas of handling, storage, and material processing, the show will give ample space to rapidly expanding fields such as plastic and textile recycling, which are increasingly central to industrial and environmental policies as well as to the conferences and round tables held during the event”.

Also noteworthy is the entry of companies with production profiles quite different from the traditional exhibitor base. Consider, for example, the industrial gas sector, humidifiers, and maintenance software. Solids 2026 is therefore opening up to markets and solutions complementary to its historical core. Updated market data confirms the food industry as the leading segment (78.4%), followed by chemicals (65%). The pharmaceutical sector is also growing significantly (56%), emerging as one of the most dynamic in terms of exhibitors and solutions presented, and entering the top three.
The extensive conference programme will be a cornerstone of the 2026 edition. Participants will be able to attend workshops, round tables, and conferences focused on key topics such as plastic and textile recycling, AI and robotics, and MOCA (Materials in Contact with Food) regulations, with particular attention to new European standards. In addition, advanced methodologies for characterising granular materials will be presented, including “flow function” testing, with practical examples and industrial applications.

What’s new
For the first time, Solids Parma 2026 will introduce a Start-up Area dedicated to emerging companies: an opportunity to discover young businesses offering disruptive solutions and to foster dialogue between them and established market players.
“Solids Parma 2026 won’t be just business: visitors will be able to immerse themselves in a cultural experience in the contemporary art gallery Plastic Rebirth, which will display works created using recycled plastic materials, combining aesthetics and sustainability to reinforce messages linked to the circular economy and environmental responsibility”.

The Innovation Gallery will also return, showcasing a selection of cutting-edge technologies: a dedicated jury chaired by Franco Canna, Director of Innovation Post, will select the five most promising proposals, which will then be voted on by visitors for the Visitor Innovation Award.
