After years of intensive work and consolidation in international markets, Modula has reached a new strategic milestone with the inauguration of its new headquarters in Gersthofen, Germany. The opening marks a key step in the company’s ongoing internationalisation and digital transformation.
“Modula’s presence in Germany goes back more than a decade, supported by a well-established network across various industrial districts. With the opening of the new Gersthofen site, Modula is placing the core of its German operations here, further strengthening its proximity to customers and its ability to offer a complete and integrated service,” the company stated in the press release issued for the inauguration.
Located in the heart of Bavaria, within a strategic industrial area, the new Modula GmbH headquarters spans three floors for a total surface area of 2,200 m². The building combines modern architecture, functional efficiency and an enhanced customer experience.
Bright, spacious and welcoming areas host the Sales, Back Office, Finance and Customer Care departments, along with a highly skilled technical team that forms the operational backbone of Modula Germany.
On the ground floor, an advanced Experience Centre allows customers and partners to immerse themselves in Modula’s technologies, exploring the evolution of automated storage solutions first-hand. The space is designed not only to showcase products but also to convey the company’s approach and values: innovation, excellence, strong visual appeal and a deep focus on customer needs.
“The new Gersthofen headquarters marks a decisive step in our international growth journey,” said Franco Stefani, President of Modula. “This building embodies our vision: combining modern architecture with advanced technology to create efficient, sustainable and innovation-oriented work environments, where people and technology can grow together.”
The official inauguration, held on 18 November, was attended by the entire international team, the German staff, the Mayor of Gersthofen, representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and other institutional authorities, who all took part in the ribbon-cutting ceremony in an atmosphere of enthusiasm and shared pride.
The year 2025 has been particularly dynamic for Modula, with the opening of new locations in Colombia, Singapore, Australia, Denmark and India, alongside the ongoing expansion of the US facility in Ohio, adding an extra 15,000 m².
With the new Gersthofen headquarters, Modula reaffirms its mission to bring Italian excellence in automated logistics to the world, combining technological innovation, customer care and industrial culture in a project that looks decisively towards the future, while remaining firmly rooted in its Made-in-Italy heritage.
