Founded in 1970, Lawer is an Italian company specialized in industrial weighing systems.

It has developed advanced technologies and know-how in the automatic weighing of powder and liquid products, including pigments, additives, and chemicals, as well as single or multiple weighing systems and equipment for the preparation of compounds, color masterbatch, handling and packaging systems.

Its products, solutions and services provide the technical rubber, tire, color masterbatch industries to increase reliability, safety, and efficiency.

At the basis of all the production of the rubber industry and color masterbatch there are the recipes of the compounds. Complex formulations, expertly built with the contribution of many substances, whose quantities are strictly predefined. The qualitative constancy of the final product therefore depends on the ability to feed the machinery of the mixing rooms with perfectly weighed doses and able to perfectly respect the proportions of all the required ingredients: raw materials, additives, dyes and much more. This is where Lawer’s expertise and technological capability come into play.

Observing the ongoing trend among manufacturers to automate mixing rooms to improve product quality, safety, and hygiene, Lawer has launched the second generation of its fully automated weighing system for the preparation of compounds and color masterbatches, SUPERSINCRO.

SUPERSINCRO is an automatic horizontal weighing system for chemicals used in the weighing room. This system ensures high productivity, consistent quality, and complete traceability of the process and, at the same time, eliminates the “human error” factor.

It is a customized project that allows you to weigh different materials, stored in silos, hoppers, big-bags and interchangeable silos, in a bag of variable sizes produced automatically.

The modular configuration is based on the number of products used, the physical characteristics and the packaging used. At each cycle, the container with the bag inside is placed on a mobile tray and transported on a ring path, placing the bag under the different weighing units. When the container is in the correct position for the product, the scale lifts the container and starts the weighing process. At the end of the cycle the bags are closed and automatically placed in boxes or pallets.

Lawer’s systems improved in productivity and accuracy: one bag can be now processed every 30 seconds.

Flexibility is another benefit: three sizes of EVA or LDPE bags can be handled, which are made automatically by a device that selects bag sizes proportional to the mixer size. And for qualitative benefits, automation can reduce the amount of EVA or LDPE film in the mixer as much as possible.

The market seeks to reduce the buffer in terms of production and work as much as possible just in time to reduce costs, so Lawer’s aim to connect their technology to the mixing line to be more just in time in terms of production: This will make the company’s offering even more attractive, economically speaking, for the end customer. The challenge is to understand what the field needs to enable just in time production.

Compared to the first generation, SUPERSINCRO V2 includes:

    • INCREASED PRODUCTIVITY. Up to one bag every 30 seconds.
    • GREATER PRECISION. Up to a tolerance of ± 0.1 gr
    • GREATER REPEATABILITY. CPK greater than 1.67
    • OEE SUPERIOR. Overall effectiveness of the equipment
    • GREATER FLEXIBILITY & MODULARITY. Custom project configuration, variable bag sizes
    • LESS MANPOWER
    • RESPECT FOR THE ENVIRONMENT. Latest version of the components that helps reduce the consumption and pollution of the equipment.
    • LOWER CONSUMPTION. With the use of latest generation servo motors, consumption is up to 30% lower.
