Messe Berlin and NürnbergMesse are joining forces in India with the co-location of two trade shows dedicated to the fresh produce and organic food sectors.

From May 25 to 27, 2028, BIOFACH INDIA and the newly launched FRUIT LOGISTICA Connect India will take place at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai. The two exhibitions will maintain their individual identities and market positioning while sharing the same venue and dates.

The agreement was formalized in Mumbai on September 1, 2026, with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding by Satyendra Mehra, Group Director and Member of the Management Board of NürnbergMesse India, and Katrina Leung, Managing Director & Vice President Asia Pacific at Messe Berlin.

The partnership brings together the international networks of BIOFACH, focused on the organic food industry, and FRUIT LOGISTICA, which covers the fresh produce value chain. The aim is to create additional business opportunities for exhibitors and buyers operating in areas that increasingly overlap, including sustainable production, logistics, international trade, retail, technology and supply chain management.

FRUIT LOGISTICA Connect India will make its debut in Mumbai in 2028 as a dedicated platform for the Indian fresh fruit and vegetable industry. The event is expected to bring together growers, exporters, importers, wholesalers, retailers, logistics companies, technology suppliers and other operators across the fresh produce chain.

BIOFACH INDIA, meanwhile, will continue to address the organic, natural and sustainable agriculture sectors, while strengthening its presence in Mumbai, one of the country’s main commercial and food trading hubs.

“Our partnership with Messe Berlin reflects a shared vision of bringing together two globally recognized exhibition brands in a way that creates new business opportunities for our customers,” said Sonia Prashar, Chairperson of the Board and Managing Director of NürnbergMesse India. “We are confident that the co-location of BIOFACH INDIA and FRUIT LOGISTICA Connect India will further support the growth of India’s organic food and fresh produce sectors.”

According to Katrina Leung, Managing Director & Vice President Asia Pacific at Messe Berlin, the co-location will allow the two events to extend their international reach while maintaining their respective profiles. “The co-location of FRUIT LOGISTICA Connect India and BIOFACH INDIA will create new opportunities for exhibitors, buyers and industry stakeholders while preserving the unique identity of each event,” she said.

The Mumbai initiative forms part of the international development of both exhibition networks. FRUIT LOGISTICA will next take place in Berlin from February 3 to 5, 2027, while ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA is scheduled for September 7 to 9, 2027, in Hong Kong. BIOFACH, which in 2026 attracted around 2,200 exhibitors and nearly 32,000 trade visitors, continues to operate through an international network of events serving the organic industry.
