From 4 to 6 February 2026, Berlin will once again become the global reference point for the fresh produce sector with Fruit Logistica, a key event for producers, traders, logistics operators, and technology suppliers. The exhibition continues to strengthen its role as a strategic platform for business and content, capable of interpreting the profound changes shaping the global fresh produce industry.
At the heart of the 2026 edition will be a comprehensive program of conferences and debates involving around 200 international speakers from the worlds of business, scientific research, and applied innovation. Six thematic stages, with simultaneous translation into five languages, will offer an integrated perspective on the sector’s major challenges: sustainability, digitalization, changing consumer behavior, cost pressures, supply chain resilience, and new dynamics in international trade.
The Insights Stage (Hall 21) will serve as the main observatory on global markets, featuring analyses based on up-to-date data and forward-looking scenarios. Discussions will focus on how purchasing behaviors are changing, the impact of inflation and geopolitical tensions on international trade, and strategies to make supply chains more robust and flexible. This context will be particularly relevant for companies operating in an increasingly volatile and competitive market.
The Farming Forward Stage (Hall 3.1) will shift attention to the field and production, showcasing how research, start-ups, and industry are contributing to more efficient and sustainable agriculture. From digital solutions based on sensors, robotics, and automation to controlled environment agriculture (CEA), the focus will be on production models capable of reducing environmental impact and increasing supply security. The Frutic Science Symposium will complete the picture with discussions among international researchers on production systems, digitalization, and sustainability.
A more cross-cutting approach will characterize the Fresh Produce Forum (Hall 23), which will address the entire value chain from production to the final consumer. The debate will center on new marketing strategies, sustainable packaging solutions, and growth opportunities in international markets, with panels designed to provide concrete and immediately applicable insights. Looking even further ahead will be the Future Lab (Hall 6.1), a space dedicated to emerging visions, pilot projects, automation, and artificial intelligence applications that are already reshaping the fresh produce trade.
The program will be rounded out by the Logistics Hub (Hall 26), where logistics becomes a strategic lever for competitiveness. Refrigerated transport, cold chain optimization, intermodal solutions, and port logistics will be at the core of sessions aimed at combining speed, product quality, and reduced environmental impact.

FLIA 2026: innovations setting the direction for the sector
Alongside its rich content program, Fruit Logistica 2026 will give strong visibility to the most innovative solutions through the Fruit Logistica Innovation Award (FLIA), which for twenty years has been a benchmark for identifying trends transforming the fresh produce industry. Two independent juries have selected ten innovations, five in Fresh Produce and five in Technology, which will be showcased in dedicated areas and put to a visitor vote during the first two days of the fair. The award ceremony will take place on Friday 6 February at 1:00 pm.
In the Fresh Produce category, the innovations reflect a sector increasingly focused on health, taste, and convenience. New varieties such as BOOMBITESâ„¢ Red Berry Grapes, rich in polyphenols, or the POMPUR apple, certified for consumers with allergies, respond to the growing demand for functional and inclusive products. At the same time, fresh produce snacks such as the POPITSâ„¢ mini cucumber or Tribelli Seedless peppers capture new consumption habits centered on convenience without compromising quality. Premium selections of Sapori mini tomatoes also confirm the importance of added value linked to flavor, aesthetics, and differentiation.
On the Technology side, the selected solutions highlight how innovation and sustainability are becoming inseparable. From artificial intelligence applied to pest monitoring, enabling reduced use of crop protection products, to circular and compostable packaging materials, and advanced technologies for grafting, crop protection, and greenhouse energy management, a clear orientation emerges toward more efficient, automated, and low-impact processes.
Through this dual track of strategic content and award-winning innovation, Fruit Logistica 2026 confirms itself not only as the leading trade fair for the sector, but as a true compass for the global fresh produce industry: the place to understand where the market is heading and which solutions will drive supply chain competitiveness in the years to come.
